A day after blowing a three-goal lead in a disappointing 6-5 shootout loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs coach Randy Carlyle was blunt about the stress that comes from a game like the one played Wednesday night. "I dont sleep well - I get stress headaches," he told reporters. "I get a lot of things that you guys probably never experienced. "Theres an adrenaline that comes with (coaching), but also pretty big lows & things like last night bring you to earth in a hurry." Of the problems coming out of Wednesday nights loss was the Leafs inability to generate offence in the third period, as Toronto didnt register a single shot in the third period and in overtime. Needless to say, 25 minutes of shot-less hockey didnt sit well with Carlyle. Asked if he ever had a shot-less period as a player or a coach, Carlyle was again a matter-of-fact about it. "Probably," he said. "Forgot about it in a hurry, though." Carlyle looked to the "snowball effect with the penalties," that the Leafs took in a game that saw them outchance the Penguins 11-9 after two periods before their offensive collapse in the final frame. Three of the Penguins five goals in regulation were scored on the power play, meaning a defensive effort was also wanting for the second game in a row. The Leafs took a 6-0 drubbing at the hands of the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Air Canada Centre on Monday night. "Obviously, weve given up 11 goals in two games and thats not going to cut it," said Carlyle. "Thats not going to work in the NHL." Still, Carlyle is convinced that his team can be better and knows that its his job as coach to ensure that it will. "Were salesmen, simple as that - coaches - and were selling a program that we believe in," he explained. "We can play to a higher level." The Leafs will next have the opportunity to find that level on Friday night when they visit the Buffalo Sabres. Air Max Goedkoop .C. United on Wednesday night. Fournier was the eighth Griffins shooter and had a chance to win the game after Petr Mrazek came out to stop Abbotsfords Chad Billins. Fournier beat Olivier Roy stick side to clinch the win for the visitors. Teeumu Pulkkinen scored twice, giving him a team-leading 23 goals and four in two games. Baertschi opened the scoring on the power play when Ben Streets wrist shot from the point was redirected between Mrazeks legs at 6:11. Pulkkinen tied the game at 16:44. Nick Jensens shot from the top of the circle was deflected by Pulkkinen, cruising through the slot. That was Jensens first professional point. Reinhart tied the game at 16:09, taking a pass from Brett Olson and wiring a wrist shot far side on Mrazek. Jarnkroks power-play goal gave the Griffins the lead heading into the second intermission. Nestrasil found Jarnkrok in the low slot and he beat Roy bar down with just 20 seconds to play. Grand Rapids thought they had doubled the lead eight minutes into the third, but the deflection in front was a high stick and was immediately waved off by referee Trevor Hanson. Reinhart tied the game with just under four minutes to go, redirecting a pass from Baertschi around Mrazeks left pad. Grand Rapids had the best scoring chance in overtime, but Ryan Sproul fired it off the crossbar midway through the extra frame and with 35 seconds to go, Cory Emmerton shot a one-timer from the slot right into Roys crest.
