How To Throw a Star Wars Party
Star Trek fans be warned as we're going to rock the party Star Wars style! If you haven't seen or participated in one of the Star Wars convention, you're definitely missing out. Be amazed at the sheer creativity and passion for the franchise with die hard fans dressing up to the nines in their favorite Star Wars character. According to the Star Wars fan page, the most popular of these characters are Han Solo, Darth Vader, Obi Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and Anakin Skywalker, respectively. If you are a true and proud Star Wars geek at heart, why not celebrate your birthday (or any fabulous occasion) with a fun Star Wars inspired party? Here's how.
Take inspiration from your visit to the Star Wars convention. But in the case that you haven't been to one, here are some important things to consider:
Costumes. Dress to impress in your best Star Wars inspired costumes. While some costumes can easily be put together with some creative sewing or very smart shopping, other more complicated costumes may need extra time and effort to complete. Some complicated costumes like Chewbacca, Jar Jar Binks or Darth Vader when done as home projects may not do justice to the Star Wars character and may look more like a "dress to distress" outfit rather than a "dress to impress" one. Here are some top costumes you may want to try out.
Hans Solo. For this costume you will need some dark brown pants and a blue vest worn over a white polo shirt. Pair that up with black boots to complete the outfit.
Obi Wan Kenobi. Take your little brother's karate jacket and belt it with a brown or black leather belt. You can wear white loose fitting pants underneath.
