Eagles work out former Falcons wide receiver Reply with quote
The Eagles brought three free agents to Philadelphia for tryouts this week http://www.authenticsphiladelphiaeagles.com/cheap-darren-sproles-jersey , according to Howard Balzer. Those players include: Andrew Adams, Reggie Davis, and Dorren Miller. Adams, 25, originally signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He started 17 games in 30 appearances over the past two seasons. During that time, Adams logged 58 tackles, seven passes defensed, one interception, and one forced fumble. Some Giants fans were surprised when Adams http://www.eaglescheapauthenticstore.com/jason-kelce-jersey-cheap , who was competing for a starting safety job at the beginning of training camp this year, was released during final cuts over the weekend. I’d say the Eagles might have interest in adding Adams as a potential fourth safety but Philadelphia already traded for Deiondre’ Hall to seemingly fill that role (and replace Tre Sullivan on the roster). Adams could be a name to keep an eye on if the Eagles find themselves in need of more safety depth and he’s still available. There’s also been some unverified buzz that Adams might be joining the Eagles’ practice squad. The other two players the Eagles tried out were wide receivers. This doesn’t come as a surprise given that Alshon Jeffery and Mack Hollins are both going to miss at least tonight’s home opener against the Falcons while they recover from injury. Davis, 22, originally signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2017. After getting waived in final cuts last year, he spent a short stint on the Browns’ roster. Then the Falcons brought him back to their practice squad and he remained with Atlanta until final cuts this past weekend.
You sure can’t help but wonder if the Eagles may have picked Davis’ brain on the Falcons offense. The 24-year-old Miller measures in at 6-0, 196 pounds. He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent earlier this year. Miller logged two receptions for 25 yards in the preseason. It’s not uncommon for the Eagles (and other teams) to hold workouts and tryouts throughout the season. It’s part of the information gathering process for the pro personnel department. While a signing(s) may not necessarily be imminent, it’s possible of these names pops up on the practice squad and/or roster down the line. A lot has gone wrong for the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, culminating in a crushing loss to the Dallas Cowboys in a must-win game on Sunday Night Football. With a couple of days removed from the emotion of the loss, Benjamin Solak and I took a look at the coaches film and tried to explain what went wrong and who is to blame. You can start by looking at an offense that has been limited due to slow starts http://www.eaglescheapauthenticstore.com/rodney-mcleod-jersey-cheap , sloppy errors, and inconsistent finishing. The Eagles didn’t convert on a money down until there was five minutes left in the third quarter. Even in this down year it’s uncharacteristic for this team. Is it offensive coordinator Mike Groh that’s to blame? Perhaps Doug Pederson? Are we missing Frank Reich that badly? We try to provide some insight on that and we also pick apart some comments made by Jim Schwartz in his press conference on Tuesday. When asked about the “picket fence” sticks defense on long money downs, Schwartz claimed the Eagles have yet to concede a first down with that deployment. The thing is, he’s actually correct, but mostly due to technicality. We discuss that and the execution of a defense that once again failed to hold up its end of the bargain in the second half. All that and a bunch of nerdy X & O talk on the newest Kist & Solak Show, including a peak ahead to the New Orleans Saints who will likely run a red zone concept that was successful for the Cowboys on Sunday.
